The Plant-based Revolution at WorldFood Poland exhibition

A unique initiative known as the “Plant-Based Revolution” takes place at the WorldFood Poland trade fair. This modern zone showcases plant-based products and features a variety of companies offering plant-based meat and dairy alternatives. Among the exhibitors are brands such as HARKE Polska, MYEGG, Hempeat, FoodJack, Planeat, WEGE SIOSTRY, Beyond Meat, Oatly, and Zmiany Zmiany.

The Plant-based Zone, dedicated to plant-based products, not only brings together companies presenting meat and dairy substitutes but also serves as a platform for discussion during a dedicated conference block. Industry experts share insights on the development of the plant-based alternatives market, the potential of cultivated meat, and insects as an alternative protein source.

The Plant-Based Zone is located right next to the EcoFood Poland sector, which is an integral part of WorldFood Poland. This sector focuses on organic, certified, ecological, natural, minimally processed, and traditional foods with clean labels – Clean Label. The fair provides an excellent platform for showcasing organic products and “Free From” items, such as gluten-free, lactose-free, and sugar-free products, which are gaining increasing popularity among trade and distribution representatives.

A new addition to the 2023 edition was the introduction of the plant-based zone, where a wide variety of products were showcased, including plant-based meat and cold cut substitutes, plant-based drinks, vegan cheeses, plant-based sandwich spreads, vegan ice cream, sweets, snacks, and egg substitutes. This initiative was a response to the enormous potential of the plant-based food category in the food market and the growing interest of both exhibitors and visitors in this rapidly developing trend.
