From April 8th to 10th, 2025, the 11th edition of the international WorldFood Poland fair took place at the EXPO XXI center in Warsaw. This year’s event attracted a record number of participants – nearly 7,000 people, over 350 exhibitors representing 30 different countries, and 42 expert presentations and debates focused on the future of the industry. It is worth noting that as many as 18% of visitors were international guests – most of them coming from Ukraine, Germany, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom. This confirms the international character of the event and the growing interest of foreign markets in the Polish food industry’s offerings. This year, thanks to the collaboration with the Gastrotargi SMAKKi, the event also featured a diverse program and culinary competitions. What exactly could be seen and heard?
This year’s edition attracted 354 companies from Poland and abroad, representing all key sectors of the food market – from beverages, sweets, and meats to dietary supplements, plant-based alternatives, raw materials and additives, as well as food technology and packaging. There were also specialized solutions for the cold supply chain, along with displays of equipment and accessories for the HoReCa sector.
However, WorldFood Poland is not just about exhibitor booths – it also features a comprehensive program. This year, more than 40 presentations and debates were held with the participation of experts, market leaders, and representatives of industry institutions. The agenda included thematic blocks dedicated to sustainable and responsible food production, cold supply chain and logistics, as well as panels focused on dietary supplements, functional foods, and new regulations in these areas.
Data collected during the fair shows that the sectors generating the most interest among visitors were organic, ecological, and natural foods, dietary supplements, and functional foods. Raw materials and food additives, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, also attracted considerable attention. This highlights a clear trend toward healthy and conscious consumption and the growing demand for new solutions in terms of product quality and functionality.
The fair hosted exhibitors from Poland and around the world, including, as part of National Pavilions, companies from Italy, Spain (Andalusia), Cyprus, Thailand, Hungary, and Ukraine. There were also regional representations from Poland within pavilions organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Polish Ecology, and the Polish Chamber of Regional and Local Products.
This year’s edition was accompanied by business meetings between suppliers and key buyers from Poland and abroad, organized under the VIP Buyer and Hosted Buyer programs. Participants included buyers from networks such as Carrefour, Żabka, Auchan, Biedronka, Eurocash, Allegro, Netto, Makro, Dino, Intermarché, and Lagardere Travel Retail. At the invitation of the organizer, representatives of retail chains and distributors from Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia, Romania, Greece, Italy, Estonia, and the United Kingdom came to Warsaw – undoubtedly contributing to the development of business relationships and creating opportunities for product expansion into new markets (including international ones).
WorldFood Poland 2025 also featured thrilling live culinary competitions! As part of the Gastrotargi SMAKKi, attendees had the opportunity to witness live cooking shows, barista art demonstrations, and challenges involving top chefs from Poland and Europe. Over two days, events included the 15th Polish Latte Art Championship, the Street Food Masters contest for the best gastronomic concepts, the second edition of the vegan cuisine contest Golden Artichoke, the third Cup of Poland contest for the highest-quality coffee roasters in Poland and abroad, and the 3rd TO NIC Espresso Championship.
Not to be overlooked is the annual, now traditional, WorldFood Poland Gold Medal contest, in which around 100 products participated this year. The jury selected 14 Gold Medal winners and 10 distinguished products across 11 different categories. The judges recognized the quality, innovativeness, and market potential of the winning solutions.
The specially designated Industry Consultation Zone once again became a hub for intensive discussions and practical support for entrepreneurs planning to expand their business, particularly in the context of foreign market expansion or product entry into new markets.
The scope of topics addressed included export and market entry strategies, financing and securing exports, product quality and safety, legal aspects in the food industry, as well as practical guidance on running a gastronomic business.
This year, participants had access to experts and representatives from institutions such as the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), The Goods, the Passport to Export program, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), the Agricultural and Food Product Quality Inspection (IJHARS), as well as attorney Michał Grodzki – a recognized lawyer specializing in legal services for companies in the food sector.
Once again, the Industry Consultation Zone proved that WorldFood Poland is not just a trade fair but also a vital platform for gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences, and receiving tangible support in business development.
Following the success of the 11th edition and the growing interest in the industry, WorldFood Poland 2026 promises to be even more intensive. From April 14–16, 2026, we will meet again at EXPO XXI in Warsaw, with a comprehensive three-day program of parallel events: NutraFood Poland, ColdChain Poland, and the Gastrotargi SMAKKi, offering an even richer lineup of exhibitors and accompanying events.
Booth reservations for the 2026 edition are now open! We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to fully leverage the business potential that participation in WorldFood Poland offers.
